What is the set up procedure?

Our contract is a rolling contract with a 3 months get out clause. Once the contract is signed and a registration form completed, we will start the set up process, which takes around 7-10 days. The transition period is made as swift and smooth as possible.

How does the billing procedure work?

YYou will be assigned a dedicated accounts manager, whom will liaise directly with either the consultant or medical secretary via email, text or what’s app. Clinic information is sent securely to us in order for MediAccounts to raise the invoice for each patient (insurer, embassy or self pay). Our dedicated insurance specialist will ensure our consultants are getting the right amount for each invoice.

How do my payments get reconciled?

In all cases MediAccounts will receive the remittance advice but money can be distributed in one of two ways:

  1. MediAccounts has a client deposit account where all money (insurance co’s, embassies, self pay etc) is collected and redistributed to the consultant on a monthly basis by BACs

  2. Where possible will be paid direct to the consultant by BACS/cheque and any money received by MediAccounts (self pay credit card for instance) on behalf of the consultant will be transferred to their designated account.
What technology do you use?

The software package MediAccounts use is the leading in the medical profession. It is a secure cloud based product which is transparent and can be viewed by the consultant with their own secure log in. We use the latest technology for medical billing and a high percentage of invoices are submitted electronically.

What reports do I get?

The cloud based software allows the consultant to have access to a wide range of reports. This includes:

  • Bank Reconciliation Information
  • Aged Debt Information
  • Billing/Payment Analysis

These reports can be viewed on line as well as downloaded into a spreadsheet.

What are MediAccounts fees?

Our fee is made up of a percentage of received income. There is also an annual license fee for the use of the software. We would love to list our rates here but they vary to each consultant’s individual needs and requirements.

What procedures do you follow to ensure confidentiality?

Consultants and all MediAccounts employees sign a confidentiality agreement.
